Shanghai Tourist Attractions–Gucun Park(AAAA Tourist Attractions of China)

Gucun Park

To my surprise, I discovered that March and April are cherry blossom season in Shanghai. Our trip was scheduled for early April, which was perfect timing to see the cherry blossoms. Despite the rain, we still wanted to try our luck, so we went to Gucun Park, the largest suburban park in Shanghai, to see the cherry blossoms. I recommend visiting on a weekday. During the cherry blossom season, the weekends are crowded with people. It’s best to be among the first to enter the park when it opens to avoid the crowds.

*This is a large-scale suburban forest park integrating ecological protection, landscape viewing, leisure and fitness, culture and recreation, tourist resort, etc.

It is famous for Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival. Every spring, the garden is full of cherry blossoms, showing their graceful charm to the fullest.

They are not only quiet and beautiful like lying clouds, but also elegant like mist, with unique charm.

In the park, the water system, wetland, plant communities and pastoral scenery intersect, integrating and inheriting the history and culture.

People can visit the cherry blossom grove in spring, view the lotus pond in summer, enjoy the fragrance of sweet osmanthus in autumn, appreciate the charm of plum blossom in winter, and feel the true meaning of life endowed by nature in the four seasons. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a treasure park.

Gucun Park

Due to the rain over the past few days, cherry blossoms have begun to fall.

Strolling under the cherry blossom avenue is very romantic.

The Ferris wheel is a must-visit attraction for photo-taking.

Gucun Park

It’s difficult to capture the beauty of cherry blossoms in photos.

Gucun Park

I saw the most vibrant cherry blossom tree on the day I went.

If we want to cover the entire Gucun Park, it would take a whole day. Today, we’ll just stroll a section, take some photos of the cherry blossoms, and then head to the next attraction. I’d like to come back on a sunny day next time to see the cherry blossoms.

I didn’t encounter anyone sitting on the cherry blossom trees this time, but I did see some tourists reaching out to pluck the blossoms. People from various countries were doing this, so we all need to take good care of these trees. Only then can we enjoy even more beautiful scenery when we come next time.
